Chance to drive a Nitro

I actually had the chance last weekend to drive a Nitro as well as other new Chrysler vehicles. They're having a road show of the new 2007 models. Check out http://www.ridedrivewin.com to see if they're coming to your area.

I liked the drive of the Nitro and was considering perhaps changing from an 04 Durango to one of these, but I think I'm addicted to the space of the Durango. I also test drove the new 4 door Jeep Unlimited and a couple of the RT vehicles.

How long did you get to drive the vehicles? What was the track like, parking lot? Jim

It was in the parking lot of FedEx Field, where the Redskins play. They had several test tracks set up - one each for Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge. At thet Dodge track you could drive the Nitro, Durango, SRT Magnum, or SRT Charger.

The "track" consisted of orange cones marking a route. The route was designed to give you a chance to cruise, accelerate quickly, brake hard, slalom, skid (or turn hard at speed), and go over simulated pot holes (large disks with holes). It took no longer than a few minutes to complete the circuit.

It just enough to give you a taste for the vehicle, that's it.
