well it looks like the front axle is haveing lots of problems, so i am wondering what trucks had d60's on them that would be a strait bolt on swap? it will be going on a 76 w100.

I think the 1/2, 3/4 tons came with the Dana 44 and the 1 ton had the Dana 66. What is wrong with your axle?

well, bearings are shot on both sides and the yoke seems really loose, we bought the truck not to long ago and have never had a front drive shaft on till now, but it seems pretty bad sofar, i didnt really want to drop any money on a axle that will be replaced anyway down the road, so will all 1 tons work on that truck or will i need the same year?

The brakes and lug pattern are different. The lug pattern on a w100 is 5 hole vs 8 hole on a w200 and w300. I'm sure there are other differences. The yoke/shaft is easy to pull out and they can repair it at a drive shaft shop. The bearings are a little more difficult, but I would take it apart and inspect them. There is a grease zirc in the wheel where you need to grease the wheel bearings on occasion.

What is your gear ratio? I have a shot rear end and I am thinking of swapping out to one tons (I can't find a third member to replace the rear end). Maybe you could use my front end. It's never given me any trouble. Shoot me a mail-JJ
