I mounted a sub under the right rear seat. I then put a single 10" sub in box and leave the left rear seat folded up. I was told you can cut out room under the seat to fit a sub and close the seat down an top of it. That would take so custom work dune by pros.

I used my factor head unit. When I get so money I plan on redoing my sub. The area under the rear seats is hollow. I want to get a pair of free air 10" subs and cut a hole under the seats to mount them in. That way I can put both seats down and use them.

Has anyone cut or drilled through the panel under the rear seat of the Quad Cab? I would like to know how much mounting depth is available. If someone already knows it would save me cutting a potentially useless hole in my truck.

Thanks!

not enough for even 8s i thought of that too but trust me you are waisting your time i have box dimensions for the 8s and it sounds like 10s benind there the only problem is you can not flip them up so u have to leave the rear seats down all the time but hey no biggie when u got a baby seat in the back lol

I figured as much. It is then safe to assume the 'subfloor' is essentially flat? That is to say, the same depth as underneath where the cup holder is. Bummer. :bawl:

I have Adire Extremis 6.4's in each door which go much lower and are much cleaner than the stock speakers. They are no substitute for a true subwoofer though. I guess it will have to do.
