What kind of plug wires have you guys had good luck with? I've had several sets of Accel SuperStock wires and liked them. I think I may have a bad set on my truck now though and am going to replace, wanted to get some opinions. Anybody used MSD's or Taylor's? Or Mopar wires, stock or performance?

I definitely won't be getting any el cheapo wires from Advance or Auto Zone, I've had sets of those go bad in 6 months. Even the good el cheapo wires or junk.

While we're on the subject, how about cap and rotor? Any better than others or are they all about the same?

I have MSD cut-to-fit Heli-Core wires. Very happy with them.

I bought a set of the Autolite Professional series wires from Advance for my B250. As an OE replacement, they are top notch. Cost me about $40.

Yeah that's what I bought and put on the Club Cab, and they went bad in 6 months. I may try out the MSD's, I have a set on my Shelby that seem to work okay.

Hell, I've had the $12 el-cheapos on my truck for about 7 months, and haven't had any problems with them. Yet. lol

Yeah, I've actually used the el cheapo's before too with good success, but I need this thing to run properly and I don't want to have to possibly buy another set in 6 months.

MMMMmmm ..... I've been running those on my rig for a year now and they're still fine....
(Besides, I refuse to spend a 100 dollar bill on a set of plug wires... ;) )

I've had MSD's on many motors, been happy

What about Taylor wires?

I've heard and read about Taylor wires being good, but I don't know anyone personally who has had them.

Just my 2cents,get a cheap set and replace everytime you do a tune-up.The heat and fumes underhood kills thems and disconnecting them from the plugs breaks down the cores.

ps we're talking stock ign. here, right?

Yeah, points ignition actually. Although it'll get electronic ignition in a year or so probably, maybe sooner.
