I've got a 1996 Intrepid ES with an odd problem. This is the 2nd time this has happened. When the battery is changed, the turn signals and flashers stop working. The last time, I checked everything I could find and was about to replace the multifunction switch, when the signals started working. Now after replacing the battery again, I have the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to the cause of this? Thanks in advance.

Well, never mind. I found the solution....after changing the battery out, you have to turn the keyswitch as recommended to check the error codes. On, off, on, off, on. Once this is done the blinkers and flashers will work.

You might check your bulbs to make sure none are burned out. Front and rear. I've seen burned out front bulbs effect the rear ones. Strange I know, but it does occur. Also, you might try disconnecting your battery. Perhaps clearing out any memory codes may solve your problem. If you find that nothing works after disconnecting your battery, try the key sequence from my last post. Hope this helps............

I ran into the same problem with my 96 Intrepid(3.3). My turn signals and hazards stopped working after I disconnected the battery to change the starter. I've checked fuses and the black relay/jumper box thing above the brake pedal. I also tried the OBD trouble code process several times. Any new ideas? Thanks!
