There's been one thing bugging me for a while now. Ok, I work patroling my downtown. I notice a lot of cool cars and a few SRTs here and there. The one thing I've really neem noticing is people putting the SRT body kit on a regular neon. I've seen 3 so far and my friends have seen a couple from where they're from. I don't think its right, considering that those who own an actual SRT make it genuine since no more are in production. Now if you took a regular neon and built it up like an SRT or something of that sort, that's cool. I tested this guy who had a neon with an SRT body kit and asked him if it were an actual SRT and he said it was. I laughed for a whole 2 minutes before I said he was full of shit and should go to a corner and slap himself. Of course I let him know that I owned one, he got so embarassed his jaw droped then got in his car and left. I know its a nice look but common.

Dodge actually made a "SRT Design" Neon, that came from the factory with the hood and wing

Bumpers and exhaust too? Because if no one knew anybetter, they would think it's an actual SRT. The only difference you would notice off the back is the intercooler missing.

yeah it has the F/R bumpers, but it doesn't have the extra two holes on top, and they have dual exhaust but the tips are smaller I believe.

I understand where your coming from, but we have this in all makes and models. Hell look at the hondas or mustangs. People slap on cobra kits and have V6's or people with 2cylinder hondas have V-Tech stickers. It sucks but they have envy..

I own an SRT design and i don't envy srt-4 owners at all. I thinks its bs that ya'll are bashing people for trying to build there "dream" car. When I bought mine I couldn't get a srt-4, because of financial reasons but I do like the look. I bought my car for 13,900 and am getting a hahn racecraft stage 2 turbo system with intercooler for 5000. Do the math 19,000 dollars for a car that looks like an srt-4 and has 270 hp. i like my odds. but i'm not stopping there going to make it a 2.2 stroker with all forged lower and a stage 6 p/p head on top. If you want to bash the dumb ass who said he had an srt-4 we he had a srt-design go ahead he deserves it, but not srt- designs have owners like that. :VHOT:

No, see I'm not bashing on someone trying to make a concept SRT. You have more of reason to claim your car as an SRT then that dumbass. Your putting your time and effort to make it ligit. But I'm just saying that it really sucks when you're beside a car that looks exactly like yours and sounds like it has a rice can or they're claiming its the model it looks like when its not. Just like tonight, I saw another (yellow) but with a freakin' rice can! WTF! *sigh*...

lol I dont see it as bashin, and just like psydwynder , I bought the sx 2.0 with the srt design group, because of financial reasons. I too have been lookin at the hahn racecraft stage 2 myself, you can get it for 3400 if ya look around, intercooler everything. the car does have smaller exaust tips, and doesn't have the two holes in the top of the front fashia. The srt also comes with 17" wheels, mine has 15" chrome. But either way they both nice. later
