Check your pcv valve! I found it deep in one of the older threads and it saved my butt. I had already replaced the o2 sensor and was looking at the speed sensors. I was given codes 21 and 43 and when I would corner to the right aggresivily my engine would cough and backfire and try to die or would die. A dirty pcv valve will cause this and it did on my van. The pcv valve is hooked directly to the intake by the throttle body and it scavages crankase gases into the intake, Well if you have 134,000 miles on the original equipment then it creates problems. The flaw in the design of the caravan is that the pcv valve is laid sideways and during cornering it can cause the ball detent in the valve to remained closed or close fully especially if it is dirty. When the pcv fully closes the engine cannot compensate and it will die. If you want to duplicate the same symptoms you were having just take of the hose to the pcv and cap it off and you will get the same result of the pcv valve closing and resulting in your vehicle to die. I read a lot of the mysterous caravan problem threads but trust me, check your pcv first it is 4.00 bucks to replace and it will cause codes and severe engine malfunctions. I was told it could be my fuel pump, the cam sensor, the throttle posistion sensor, crank posistion sensor but in the end it was the 4 buck pcv. man what a relief! :gr_patrio
