Have a 95 Caravan. When I have the air coming out of the front vents and I am on the highway and push the accelorator down to either speed up or maintain speed going up a hill, the plenum shuts or moves to a different position and the air then comes out of the bottom vents. I take my foot off the gas and turn the fan off and then back on the plenum changes back to where it is supposed to be, coming out the front.
Untill the accelorator go down again.....
Any Ideas on how to fix?
thank you!

not sure if your vent. system is vacuum operated but if it is,
I have just delt with this sam problem with my ram. does it either go to the floor or the defrost, and then when you let off of the gas you hear the door to the air canister in the dash pop, and then the air is back in the normal face position. if that is what is happening chances are that you have a bad vacuum check valve in your ventilation system. this valve is there because when you are accelerating or using power the vacuum in the manifold goes close to 0 pounds, and there is not enough vacuum to make the door of the air canister stay in position, so this check valve maintains that vacuum. the easiest way to fix is to go to the parts dealer and buy the $4 dollar vacuum check valve in the "help" section, find the thin little vacuum line coming off of the manifold and going to the ventilation system and splice the check valve in. sorry if this might be confusing but if you want me to clarify or draw a pic, or something just PM me and i will

ps. it is great to not get hot just cause you have to get on the highway.

96grand and wildbill,
thank you both for your posts.
Wildbill I am hoping it is closer to what you are describing. I goes to the floor vent. But, I have to turn the fan off to get it to reset. You can then here the door pop again.
