on my wifes 99 intrepid es the power locks will not work on the driver side door and the dome lights dont turn on when that specific door is open ! are there any known issues with this type of problem

I had issues with my 2002 Intrepid and my 2004 Ram with the electronics in the doors. On the Intrepid, the switches went bad and were replaced under warranty, so I don't know how much it would have cost. On the Ram, the solenoid that activates the lock went bad. Again, under warranty, so don't know how much to fix. When I spoke with the Service Manager about the Intrepid, he had said that the switches are a known problem, but not necessarily a frequently occuring one.

Yes I would have to agree..The lock post up there sounds right..As far as the light not working I have that issue on my 97 intrepid>.That is the switch itself going bad..Mine works when it wants to..spike6969
