I hope someone can help, It just dies at idle like someone turned the key off, I have had the car for 4 years 115000 miles had the heads redone at 90000
it hasnt happend for about 6 months then today it did three times in a row.
Then you can start it right back up again, Ive also noticed that its running kinda rich it gets black soot on the car where the tail pipe comes out may not be a related issue

I've had the very same problem. Usual cause is the throttle body needs cleaning. Very easy to do. Grab some throttle body cleaner from napa or such. Remove the throttle body and clean the surface area surrounding where the throttle plate just touches. You will see a slight built up of carbon and posslbly be abelto feel the build up near the plate. This is restricting the slight air flow when the plate is closed, which in effect will make the engine stall.
I clean my throttle body every 30k or when it needs it.
The other option is you may need to replace the throttle body sensor. About $50. Mine went at about 170k. Two screws and your done. Very easy to do.
