A friend spent $1000 at the local mechanic to try to get his 94 Caravan running. He was about to junk it, so I offered to help. His mechanic claims to have replaced all his sensors. I determined that his MAP sensor was bad and replaced it and the car ran fantastic -- for 1000 miles. It hasn't died completely yet, but it's heading there. The check engine light is on again and indicates code 14 - Map sensor voltage too high. Is it possible the MAP sensor has gone bad again, or is there another problem that can cause this problem? I'd appeciate any help that I might get on this. Thanks.

I'll give you instructions for both Low and High... because MIL code 14 could be either or... let me know how it turns out.

Sorry about the slow response. It took the wiggle test to get to the bottom of it. Normally the sensor worked fine, but I found by wiggling it that its voltage would cut out completely. I had to replace the connector and it seems to have fixed the problem. Thank you very, very much for the help. I greatly appreciated it. Bruce

Maybe my contribution is late, but I got similar problem with the MAP sensor.

On my Caravan 1992 the black hose connecting the MAP to the vaccum source was damaged. If you slide it the MAP will go 'high voltage' and the motor will go rough when idle.

It just was a very cheap repair, changed the hose and it worked fine again.
