i was out off roading and when i was out there my 4x4 doesnt lock in. i still get the low gearing when i put it in to 4lo but it doesnt lock in and the light doesnt come on. i thought it would be a fuse but i dont know if it is electric and if it is than it isnt labeled in the fuse box. if its not than i dont know whats going on with it.....any suggestions

What year truck are you driving? :confused: If you are driving a newer one I would check the vacuum line on the front axle disconnect. While you were 4-Wheeling you may have ripped it off or put a hole in it.
If that is not it, trace the lines back to the t-case. They are notorious for getting holes, leaking, etc. to check run a length of vacuum/washer hose from the left side of the round thing on your axle disconnect straight to an engine vacuum source. if the truck goes into 4wd then, you know it's a vacuum line.
I would be willing to bet this is what has happened.
