My wifes Neon's AC is acting like it needs a charge - quick question - is there a minimum air temp below which the compressor won't cycle on/off? It was hot last week but rather cool (around 55) this morning -

There is nothing stopping you from turning on the AC at anytime. Even if it's 10 below.
I would have it filled or atleast checked out. If the car is anything like mine and a few others here at DT your idle will act funny when the defrost is on if the coolant is low in the AC system. The AC is actually on when the defrost is on. It helps clear the fog up quicker than heat. .

BTW, if you are a DIY kinda guy like most of us Autozone will have a recharge kit for like 30 bucks or so. Thats the way Id go! Later and Good luck!
