I'm hoping to get the wife to join the DT forum, we shall see.
So far we really like this car. Drove it around a lot yesterday,
Got around 100 miles from the "full" to the 3/4 tank mark. does that sound about right?
Surprisingly comfy for such a small car. Handles really nice too.
It's got the 2.0L, I'm assuming that it's the sohc version? (since it's an sxt)
It's also an automatic (yes, I would have prefered a stick). ;)

Nice looking ride man! The PCM is a smart one in that car it knows how much HP the car is suposed to make so it compensates for every mod done Keeping the HP level at the stock spec. Thats how I explain it. Sounds simple enough to me.
It's an ATX so you really didn't buy it for your wife to be raceing so It doesn't matter about the NGC.
The gas mileage in these cars are good,100 miles to the 3/4 mark is good. Depending on how much you crammed in there LOL. Sounds about right tho.
In my car the gas does good till 1/2 way bettween 3/4 and 1/2 mark then the bottom seems to drop out of it LMAO. But still Im getting about 300 to a tank on a modded ACR that don't have the best gas saveing gears to begin with and to top it off I keep my foot in it aot. Good luck!!

They've got one out now???? This is breaking news!!!!!!!!!!!!!! post a link N-GIN!!!
ACR98 explained the NGC well enough, like he said, i dont think your wife will care. Congrats on the new car!
BTW ACR98... My fuel gauge sticks at full, slowly drops to 3/4, sticks again, drops like a rock to 1/2 (like a in a matter of 20-25miles...), sticks at 1/2 for the longest time, and then begins to drop off pretty fast until the light comes on and goes "ding" telling me i need to fill up, LOL. Blasted electronic gauges!!!!!!!!!! I can shut the car down, and then turn the key back on (without moving the car an inch) and the gas gauge will read different... What the heck?
would that work in the 2.0ltr? it says its for srt4

N-GIN, is that an aftermarket PCM or just a programmer? It appears to be just a piggyback programmer to me... Would it even work on a non-SRT? The 2.0L are the most affected by the NGC, and they have a different PCM than the 2.4L turbos. To my knowledge, no one has produced an aftermarket PCM (ECU whatever you feel like calling it) that will recognize the 03 and up crank signal...

Boy I'm glad I don't need for one of those.
dodgeneonACR98 summed it up perfectly.
This car is just a grocery getter. It's pretty, and the wife loves it.
I actually enjoy driving it too. The front seats are very comfortable.
I do wish it was mtx instead of atx, but the wife has had two recent surgeries on her LEFT foot. She does know how to drive stick
(and prefers it), but can't take a chance on getting one.
But still, for what it is, I think it's plenty peppy enough.
Only thing we might do is a different muffler. I read on here somewhere that the stock one was restrictive.
But if the computer is that "smart", we won't do it till the stocker needs replacing.
BTW- 1st tank = 28.9 mpg. Would have been better if I had behaved better...:D
Car seems to be getting spunkier as we drive it more. (wife is no angel either)

I know that I have seen alot of Dodges with weird gas guages. My buddies Dakota when he filled it up read Empty, then after a few miles the guage would read full! Figure that one out! Mine Reads different every time I turn the key on to although I never noticed it without some driveing. I do know I can run it till the fuel light comes on and still have a gal or two left. LOL I am bad about going thru turns at 1/4 tank and kicking on the fuel light LMAO....My wife said to me SLOW DOWN ASS HOLE WALLMARTS OPEN 24-7 . ROFL
I wash "Washed" my car every week maybe 2-3 times a week depending on the weather. It got wax every 3-4 washings. Thats why the car still looks good at 130K.
BTW.... I am quite fond of RED........I love red cars and red heads!!!!!!
REDRUM REDRUM.....LMAO later

It is not a piggy back It is an actuall computer that you can program specicicly for your ride. If you add stuff to your car and need extra fuel just program it in.
