Ok Intake gaskets

This is probly a dumb question but ive only replaced 1 other intake and it was about 17 years ago and on a chevy so my question is
on the intake gaskets witch way do the raised metal ribs face do they face the heads or the intake ??

Well let's see, I happen to have a set sitting right here in the bedroom lol. Let me look.

Raised ribs go down, towards the head. If you look, 2 of the holes for the boltshave lips on them, facing the same way as the ribs. They sit in the holes and help hold the gasket in place as you set the manifold down.
