Hi,
I have a 1995 Grand Caravan and, while the sliding door was open,
the lock mechanism jammed into the locked position. Don't ask how, I have no idea. Neither manual or electric lock mechanisms can get the thing to
un-jam. I can't close the door. Can anyone help?

Try holding the outside handle open like you are trying to open the door to get in, and take a screw driver and pry the latching parts out of the way at the rear of the door.
Check the child lock, that could make it so the inside handle won't open the door at all.
My $.02.
If it's the lock machanism, I don't have a guess.

It's not the child lock, the actual round lock piece itself (on the back side of the door) has spun around and jammed into the "locked" position. I broke two star drivers trying to undo the lock mechanism on the door, it's really jammed in place.

That lock on my 93 did the same thing, i had to remove the inside door panel and lube the mechanism with some white grease. After that it worked fine.
