Need Some Help Here People!!!!

Ok Today im searching the U-pullit yard for a Door,and what ever else I can scrounge up.

Here is the deal. I have 500 bucks to throw at parts. If I can't find the Door for 40 bucks at the U-pullit yard I have one for 100 bucks at a local yard.
The hood is about 150 new and 25 at u-pullit. If I get lucky enough to find a good one without a Bulge I will buy a hood scoop sorta like the AAR Cuda Style hood at Howell.

Should I buy a regular fender for 25 bucks and spring for a nice Trick job on the paint!

OR buy two Z3 fenders and get it painted back to a solid color. depending on the shape of the hood I may need one (not sure yet) it didn't get hit hard but it's a little warped on the corner.

Worst comes to worse the hood 150+100door+80fender= 170 left to buy some paint. If every thing works out and I get the door for 40+25hood=435 Z3 fenders are like 177 bucks. Which leaves me Still 258 bucks.

The headlights are orderd along with the blinkers this time.

After the day today I will have more of an Idea, so I will get back to it tonight sometime. And let you know what I found. :D WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!

dude acr my g/f has f1 style fiberglass fenders and take my word for it they fit like crap we have the reciept too these were not cheap fenders over $300 and they fit like crap they make the headlights and marker lights and hood all fit like junk on her cavy, unless ur getting the metal z3 style fenders ( which they make there just costly) i would just go with stock.

Ok I found the 40 dollar Door at the U-pullit yard!!!!!!!!! WOOOOT WOOOOOT!!!!
Also got the side marker.

I found the hood and fender but I am not sure if they are interchangeable from 4 dr to 2 dr,,,,,,,,,,and hood bulge to no hood bulge. Let me know if they will fit guy's. If I was sure id have gotten them already!!!!!!! Maybe in the morning if I get the right answers to my questions. Then it's off to the paint shop to buy supplies to paint it.

I have Z3's but dont have them installed yet... i'm actually wondering if i shouldnt just stick with stock steel fenders. Remember, fiberglass cracks pretty easy, even easier when its cold. I dont know about fitment, but what 95moparracer has said makes me think i'll try them on before i pay to get them painted....

I hear that Rice! thats what stopped me from getting them. Piss on it! I will buy the OEM fender and Hood, purchase a hood scoop of some sorts and fiberglass it in the hood. I can save money and spend more on paint!!!!!!!!!

Now I need to find some pictures of cars to get me an Idea!! I wont copy one but I will work off the Idea. Thanks again.

im thinking of taking and geting some stock fenders and hackign apart the after market ones to put the vents in the metal fenders.

I always had the idea of that too 95. But I was going to make my own vents and have them put in. I guess I have a fender to experiment with now LMAO. Anyhow thanks for all the answers guys. I just hope we are right about the fender and hood fitting w/o the bulge. Peace out.

you can buy fake vents to attach to fenders, hoods, etc... with either bondo or double sided tape... :D
but seriously, if theres a fake out there, then theres a chance you may be able to find real vents somewhere that you can mold into your fenders. Good luck.

new update on the car parts!!!!!

Door 40 bucks, fender,hood and two headlights 90 bucks. SOOOO.

This wopping 130 dollars for parts really leaves me a chunk of change for Paint.
130 from 500 is 370 bucks. Im not sure how much the paint it's self is going to cost but Im guessing a few hundred bucks. That 370 isnt going to get it painted but it should buy the paints. I cant wait until it's finished......Gonna be bad ass ya'll........

Dude. If your gunna put on a bonnet scoop do an off centre low slung type. Looks heaps better than the impressa or evo scoops.

If I do any type of Hood scoop it will be one that looks like Howell's Cuda Style hood.
I am very,very picky when it comes to scoops. When I find the one I want I will post a link for it so you can see whats up. Id really like to just buy the Hood but I am on a budget here LMAO. BUDGET yeah right! Im to cheap to buy the hood. LMAO ISN'T THAT RIGHT RICE-A-RONI..............

My cousin tells me that the hoods on the 1st gen neons are to flimsy to make a funtional scoop for it which sux. Scoop may be cut from the deal. If it is not functional I dont really want it.

Non functional mods that give the impression that the car is fast fitts the Defenition of RICE-BURNER. In my Case it would be American-Rice. Well Kinda, I do have performance mods where as a Rice-car Don't.

Metallic grey body with an off centre lighter grey race stripe over the top of the car. Bit like the new shelby "eleanor" replicas. I know its not mopar but so wat its still hot.

Im leaning towards a Red metal flake on top of the Flame red now. Yeah I know Rice, More red. You sound like my wife, she says I have to much red.
I dont want to be spotted from a mile away but I want it to be Nice.

Normally I'm not much for green, but that electric lime is... different to say the least. It would definetly draw some second glances, maybe 3rd or 4th glances.....

Can you do a pic in that medium blue metallic DC puts on the Vipers? (i'm trying to convince ACR98 to go with something other than red.... LOL)

The biggest reason I dont go with another color for the tottal car is that the Engine bay,interior,and inside the trunk would also need painted. Im not going to pull my motor for a Paint job......LMAO.

That blue does look sharp. You're talented, rhymeswithorange. I dont think we'll be changing ACR98's mind though, LOL. Hey ACR, you could figure something out with a 2-tone, so you could have red and another color. That way you wouldnt have to worry about your engine bay/interior being the wrong color.

Gun Metal is cool. I had an idea of Silver metalic Kinda Faded up from the bottom of the car.

Soon as I get the time I will post some ideas that I have came up with on the paint program. Been busy working 14's so that I can get the little extra done in the paint. LOL.......later.

What do we think of this on a hood?
It will be done in red metal flake on top of the flame red then clear coated.

The sides will be done the same way but only as the tribal flames no skulls. Except maybe on the trunk.

I hear ya about may be too much. But the way I am going to do it, it shouldn't seem all that much. You should have to be pretty close to the car to even see it.

BTW yes I did draw that! Came right out of my twisted mind....lol
