Hello guys, :rck:

Can someone please tell me where can I find the electric diagram for the Cooler Fan (the one behind the radiator) and where can I locate the thermo sensor and all its components, because mine has seriuos problems.

Tnaks for your valuable time.

Testing and Inspection

Fan control is accomplished two ways. A pressure transducer on the compressor discharge line sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) which will activate the fan. In addition to this control, the fan is turned on by the temperature of the coolant which is sensed by the coolant temperature sensor which sends the message to the PCM. The fan will not run during cranking until the engine starts no matter what the coolant temperature is.

CAUTION: The Solid State Fan Relay is attached to the left frame rail near the lower radiator support. The relay bracket, and fastener are used to dissipate heat from the relay. Ensure the relay is properly attached to prevent the following:

Intermittent engine overheating.
Relay "thermal" shutdown, or relay damage.
Testing and Inspection

NOTE: This information was taken from TSB 08-34-96

Conditions related to the radiator fan relay that may result in the radiator fans not turning ON or not turning OFF as designed:

CONDITION #1
The screws that mount the relay to the left front frame rail may break -- Causing the relay to overheat and turn OFF because it no longer has heat sinking capability to the frame rail.

If broken radiator fan relay screws are found, they must be replaced with revised screw P/N 06035202.

Also the relay may have been damaged because of overheating (it may still seem to function normally) caused by the lack of heat sinking and should be replaced.

CONDITION #2
Some vehicles may have an intermittent interference condition between the radiator fan blades and the fan shroud -- This causes a high current draw that will fail the radiator fan relay.

The relay can fail in an open condition preventing the fan motors from running and causing the engine to overheat.
The relay can fail in a closed position causing the radiator fans to continue to run with the ignition switch turned OFF.
If a failed radiator fan relay is found, it must be replaced with revised relay P/N 04886288AA AND screws P/N 06035202.

Revised relay P/N 04886288AA has a higher current capacity that is able to handle the extra current draw related to the intermittent radiator fan/shroud interference.

CONDITION #3
A small number of vehicles may have corrosion develop in the radiator fan relay connector. On vehicles with this condition, the radiator fan relay connector should be replaced using pigtail service package P/N 04897034AA.

NOTE: This information may be updated (new P/N's etc) by a superceding TSB. To verify current information you may want to check TSB's.

WOW! Useful Info.

Thanks a lot.
By the way do you know aplace where I can Download a diagram of this or a complete service and repair manual as for I need it to locate the parts.
