How do I replace the bulbs in the map lights (overhead console) on a '99 Intrepid? What kind of bulb? I cannot find any of this info anywhere. I searched all over the internet with no luck.

Did you get those bulbs changed without breaking anything? Let me know what you had to do I need to change both of mine. I got the one screw out, and tried pulling on it but it seems to be stuck on something?

The screw is in the front but in the back there are two clips, 1 on the left and 1 on the right. Really had to pull hard straight down. will take some pics, I need to get some bulbs 192 if anyone was wondering.

Ok to replace the bulbs of the map light.
Step 1. Using a philips screwdriver unscrew the screw at the front.
Step 2. This should allow you to get your fingers between the console and the headliner, the metal clips are on the outside part of clear lenses. Pull down at those locations. May seem pretty tight, but remember there are wires still attached! See picture.

Step 3. Using a screwdriver, push back the black plastic tab of the black plastic bulb base from the map console.
Step 4. Replace both bulbs using gloves not to get any contaminants on the bulbs, Manual specifys to use 192 bulbs.
Step 5. Test each light to see if they work! Leave them on so the light will help you line up the metal tabs to the slots in the roof.
Step 6. Line up the tabs and push up on the console until it snaps into place.
Step 7. Insert & tighten screw.
