Well I added up what it would cost to fix my car the way I want it. Also how much the wife and I are paying for gas. After all added up I called the wife into computer room and said we are going shopping. We ended up at a dealer on the corner of the street. Window shopped for 15 minutes then went to leave and a salesman walked out and came to the truck. He asked some questions, and I gave him little info as possible and told him I'm interested in two neons. One for the wife and one for me. I gave him an idea of what I wanted to spend, then we went in the building to talk. I told him I want two neons. Both 2005 and SXT's with under 19,000 miles with extended warrenty, and a clean CarFax report that they will purchas. How much do you think I spent? To be Continued??? Duhn Duhn DUUUUHHHNNNN!!!!

You know you cant mod the 2005 neons for more power right? NGC PCM.... but you probably already know that, and if i remember right you dont mod your daily drivers much anyway. Who needs to when you have that Pantera sitting out back??? LOL Post some pics when you get the cars, and make sure yours is a stick! :rck:

Well I wanted a orange one with a stick, but no one had one. So I'm waiting for the warenty to run out :D .
Are you guys ready for this..
I paid 13,000 for both :rck:
They had 11,900 on the sticker (each).
So that means they gave me 11,000 for my trade :rck: :rck:
I still cant beleve I pulled it off...
Any one have ideas how I did it?

Try being a mechanic in north La and see how funny the water jokes are. I swear we had one towed in a few weeks ago that had fish inside the door. I've heard of fishtanks in the dash...but damn! Good customer of mine bought a used '02 Eclipse from a local used lot. 2 months later I'm installing a new motor for him. The lot swears the car was never in the waters of Chocolatetown. Funny thing is, they left the original dealership sticker on the back....from New Orleans. And then there is the issue of the water line 2/3 the way up the car all through it. Hhmmm. I have to laugh to keep from crying! LOL!

Had them run a car fax at there cost. Both cars are clean. No body work. The blue was a repo with a flat. The red was a loner car for the dealer. The red car is at the dealer for warreny issues and a reprogram. The engine ticks a little up top. The blue on will go in after the red for the wear marks on the back seat (car seat for kids rubbed on the matterial). I satisfied though, 385 miles to the tankfull :rck: . What I'm saving on gas a month is paying for the car payments :rck: .

Dear lord, I am lucky to see 300 miles to the tank. I think I average 27-34mpg. What really kills me is I do a LOT of freeway driving right now and 70mph has me well over 3500rpm (silly 3 speed).

Idrive 35 miles one way too work, and my second job is 15 miles the oposite way. So I clock over 100 miles a day. The most I could get out of my neon was 226 miles to the tank. My average speed was 90mph with the 97 neon at 4300rpm. Now that the new laws of CDL licence is in effect my average speed is 67mph. So with the OD at 67 I'm at 2700. Still takes the same amount of $crendo$ to fill the tank :) .

Feel blessed. I run 1.7 miles to and from school, 5 days a week. I average 18mpg winter, 22mpg spring and fall. The car is barely warmed up and I'm shutting her down!!!!! No worries though, summer is on the way, and i can pull 28-30mpg city and darn near (if not over) 40mpg highway when i'm not doing all these short trips.... But then the problem will be keeping my foot out of it. :D
