First off thanks for any info.

Anyway if you have one how do you feel about the 4cyl power? Also does it have rear air? I am unsure at this point what I am going to buy but the price seems real nice. I have seen them right around $15,000 after rebates. Overall are you happy with the van? Wife is going to be a stay at home mom for awhile and we need something cheaper and larger currently in a 02 RAV4. Has dodge Quality gotten better? My 99 Dakota had some issues.

I can only speak from personal experience but my 93 caravan has 230,000 miles on it and it still runs well, i have had minimum problems with it, and most problems i had were inexpensive to repair. i just picked up an 04 from an auction last winter and it runs very well and it's a very solid vehicle.

To sum up the Caravans all types i feel have always been the first choice of minivans i would buy, not because i'm a Chrysler fan, I also own a Ford, Honda, GM and a Kia vehicle. To date the Caravan and the Honda has had the least problems and there the oldest vehicles that i own. One of my caravans is 13 years old and my civic is 16 years old and both run exceptionaly well and both are driven daily.

The 4 cyl. dosen't have enough power to drive this van around, the 3.3 is okay, also the resale value on the base 4cyl caravan is terrible most people want at least the 3.3 if not the 3.8 The 4 cyl also dosen't get more than a mile or two per gallon than the V6's. I'd get a V6.

I agree if you are looking for mileage savings the 4 wont get you much . If you want a low price short wheelbase mini to get from point a to point b then it will probably work fine . I don' think any SWB mini's have rear air . If you do your own maintenance then the 4 might be easier , don't know . The 4 wouldn't be that bad , i have a 3.0 V6 in our 96 and the current 4 has as much HP as that motor did and it did fine out on the highway , if you load it up with 6 adults then it will be sluggish.
