2001 GC Stalling...

Hi all,

Here's the issue I have with my 2001 GC Sport. Yesterday the Van stalled (With the Family) on me 5 times. Fuel at 1/4 tank. Filled up to 3/4 tank. Most of the time the stalls happend after a left or right turn. Van would start back up againg after a few min. No CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Took the Van to the dealer, NO CODES found. Dealer has of late had a lot of issues with owens coming in and saying the car or van just stalls.

One of tech said that it seems to be an issue with the current fuel mix.

I am not sure. Need your help pls.

Get some water remover and the next time you fill up drop it in there before the fillup and see if you still see the same problem , i know our 96 idles like crap unless I run water remover in the winter. If it clears up then you know it is fuel.

Sounds to me like a fuel pump on its way out. If the problem gets worse as the tank gets closer to empty, it's almost definitely the fuel pump. Search a little deeper into this forum for others who've had this problem. I posted to a thread on this topic just in the last week so you shouldn't have to dig too deep.

Good day to all,

An Update to my 2001GCSport V6 3.3L issues of stalling. Would cut out if I floored it.

Took the Van in June to a ACDelco tech in Plan, TX. He found out what the issue was. Checked on the power supply 8v from PC (8v) drops 2v to cam/crank sensor, He rewired power supply from PC to cam/crank sensor (8v no drop in power). As of that fix, I have had not more issues.

Some more help. if can be DIY. what tools would I need?
