Sean Roe, a Viper Supertuner, has told me that he will be putting out a DYI (Do It Yourself) supercharger system for the Ram SRT-10. It will be a slightly modified version of the supercharger system that he has put together for the Gen.II Viper 488 V-10 engine. He will start to see about adapting it to the Gen.I Viper 488 V-10 engine soon, and will get it set up for the Gen.III Viper SRT-10 when the 2003 Viper SRT-10 comes out this fall. And when the Ram SRT-10 comes out in the fall of 2004 his supercharger system should be available shortly thereafter for it.
The Gen.I Viper 488 cu.in. V-10 engine produces 400+ horsepower and later models produced even more. The Gen. II Viper 488 cu.in. V-10 engine produces 450 horsepower. The Gen. III Viper 505 cu.in. V-10 (SRT-10) produces 500 horspower. All these ratings from Dodge are lower than the true horsepower produced. The SRT-10 engine has not been officially rated by Dodge other than it will have at least 500 horsepower.
The Ram SRT-10 weighs about 1500+ pounds more than the Vipers, so if enough horsepower is added to the Ram make up for the weight difference so the power-to-weight ratio is the same, then it should have similar performance as a Viper in a straight line.

You might also want to e-mail Sean if you're serious about getting a Ram SRT-10 and would want his supercharger system for it. Be sure to tell him that you saw this in Dodge Talk.
