Now that the engine is (pending the replacement carburetor) running, I have to turn my attention to the power steering leak. It appears that with all my climbing into and out from under the hood of my D-100, I stepped on the fitting for the return line for the power steering, cracking the fitting at the nut in the steering box. Wanting to cover my bases, I purchased new lines today. While the pressure line came assembled, the return line was just a length of power steering hose with no fittings. After searching several parts store websites, I cannot find a listing for this fitting.

Should this be a NAPA item, or would any halfway decent parts store be able to come up with something for me?

Thanks,
Jim

Jim, usually the return line is just a length of hose, with clamps on each end. Least thats how my 87 is, just re-sealed the PS pump... put on new return line....... Most fords like that too, not sure why yours would be fittings on both lines....... hope you make out.........

farmguy,
I can see how the old return line is clamped on both ends; the resevoir end is clamped to a brazed/welded fitting on the reservoir, and on the steering box end there is an elbow fitting that the line clamps to. Mine is cracked ('87, like yours).
