As you can see, the car shifted at 5000rpms, not the 6464rpm redline.
No my car doesn't have a speed limiter.
FYI a 3.3L Intrepid was also at the dyno that day, it too shifted at 5000rpms, not the 5440rpm redline. He said the speed was 100mph when it shifted on the 3.3L (same tranny, therefore same speed as mine), well below the speed limiter even if I did have one.
Are you trying to find out why your car's transmission did this....?

The numbers on your 3.3 look the same as mine, but I have dual exhaust, ram air and a jet chip. I know all those mods made a difference in the cars performance based on how it runs on the street, but my dyno numbers suck! I also do not understand, they redlined mine. I really wonder if these dyno shops know how to properly hook these cars up.:(

You got the same numbers as the other 3.3L? Don't feel too bad, this 3.3L had an exhaust with a 3" Flowmaster 50 series, but it was crush bent, not mandrel
Proof this Jet stuff doesn't work?
I dunno about the shop, he's been doing dyno's for quite awhile, I saw him have the pedal all the way down in my car :dunno:
Besides, we dyno'd 14 other cars that day, all went to the redline except the Intrepids

Our 3.3 has 2.5 pipes from the cat back with dual dynomax. I will have to look for them, I was to depressed to think about. I still say the chip works because the car is a lot faster light to light competition. I light the tires up everytime I punch it.

What is interesting is I have been watching Horsepower TV and for the last couple of weeks they have been dynoing cars, two weeks ago a 70 Chevelle with a 305 160HP, this week a Mustang 4.7 167HP at the rear wheels and even after these guys installed ignition, flowmaster exhaust etc they only picked up an average 35HP, put this inperspective these Intrepids are alright.
The one thing no one here has said, I HAD MY CAR DYNOED BEFORE I TOUCHED A BOLT! Not one of us has a base line, there are so many dependent factors on this, mileage, weather etc., etc. The factory is ideal conditions when they publish figures because they want you to believe certain things. Just remember that when you talk about this stuff.
The Intrepid you speak of did not have a JetChip, now you have a base line so go and buy it, they guarantee there results. So what do you have to lose, nothing! You might actually be surprised. I believe the chip works, anyone I know who has installed one in any car has seen results!
So prove it to yourself, but the chip, don't like it return it!!!
