I'm sure you already got it in by now, but I'm also sure it was not a problem.

How do you you like it?

I was amazed at how loud the intake was at WOT!!!!

I put one in my 96, 5.9, and my only advice deals with getting the stud into the TB. I couldn't do it by threading it into the TB first. I had to put the nut on the top, put the stud into the top piece, then thread it from there. Kind of a pain, but it worked fine.

I found put grommet in the K&N tube, then wet the sides of the sensor before inserting. (it's still hard)

Make sure you recheck all the joints and clamps after a week.

Looking to put k&n on my 05 rt awd. How did the install go? K&N website said may not be street legal in all states. any thing on this. doesnt sound rite. Also looking for mellow exhaust system. dont need all the noise on my lng trips. Is the borla 112 system real loud?

Putting the rubber edges on the box is a pain but not hard. Same with the air temp sensor... getting it out and in is a pain, but if you don't force it and keep working it will come out/go back in.

The rest is just tightening clamps.

The K&N will add some sound. Most aftermarket exhausts are going to be louder... The borla 112 (same as the Mopar catback) is louder/more aggressive than stock, but you should try to hear it first.

Check around the lxforums.com, etc. for sound clips and testimonials.
I've the the Magnaflow performance catback, long tube headers, and highflow cats, so mine can be loud, but it isn't the loudest.

yeah, i'd have to say the rubber seal around the edge of the heat deflector was the biggest pain-in-the-ass on that install, and be as careful as you can when installing the air temp sensor

I found that just removing the rear cans (resonator, muffler) did a good thing for sound and performance. It was throaty but not too loud and with the CAI and jet stage 2 it really came to life in response and power. A 2.5" pipe and SS tips looked and worked good for the replacement.
